“Kaleidoscope” is a series of paintings designed to extend the surface of the panel. Each painting consists of a series of arches that represent a piece of a larger circle. When the paintings are multiplied and placed together, like tiles, the images produce the larger circles. Combinations of complimentary and contrasting colors visually ascend and recess when placed next to each other, giving the loosely drawn shapes a lively presence.

Inspirations for the show range from Ellsworth Kelly, the wainscoting in my bathroom and the long conversations I have had about painting with my friends.
